The DM416 is our purpose-built golf model and the best choice for most golfers on standard courses. It has a 1000W motor, is lighter and more compact, and comes with your choice of T-bar or round steering wheel handle. If you play on a particularly hilly or rough course, or if your body weight exceeds 100 kg, the DM418 offers a stronger 1200W motor and rear suspension for added comfort. The DM418Pro is generally not necessary for standard golf use, but is excellent if you also want to use the scooter on rougher terrain off the course.
For farm and rural use, we recommend the DM418 or DM418Pro.
The DM418 is ideal for mixed terrain such as gravel paths, paddocks, parks, and informal tracks — its 1200W motor and rear suspension provide a comfortable and capable ride.
The DM418Pro goes further with full front and rear suspension and 15-inch all-terrain tyres, making it the best choice for genuinely rough or uneven ground. Both models are also fully suitable for golf course use.
The DM418Pro upgrades the DM418 in three key areas:
Suspension — full front AND rear suspension (DM418 has rear only), delivering a noticeably smoother ride on rough terrain.
Tyres — 15-inch all-terrain tyres (vs 13-inch on DM418) for superior grip on mud, sand, gravel, and grass.
Controls — dual throttle system with both handlebar thumb throttle AND foot pedal — ideal for long rides or hands-free operation.
Yes. The DM416 is available in two handle configurations:
DM416-T (T-bar handle) — uses a thumb throttle for acceleration with automatic electromagnetic braking when released. The T-bar folds flat for compact loading.
DM416-S (round steering wheel) — uses a foot pedal for acceleration, providing a more relaxed, car-like driving experience. Also includes a remote throttle for controlling the scooter when loading it onto ramps.
Both variants offer identical performance — the choice is purely personal preference. Please specify your preferred handle style when ordering.
Yes! We have a showroom at 56 Candlebark Quadrant, Rowville VIC 3178 where you can view and compare all models. We also offer demo opportunities through existing customer hosts across Australia — contact us at bokyod@gmail.com or 0452 608 177 to arrange a test ride near you.
All DailyMoving scooters come standard with a Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4) battery — the safest and most advanced lithium battery chemistry available. It is lighter, longer-lasting (rated for 1,500–2,000+ charge cycles), faster to charge, and delivers more consistent performance than older battery technologies. The battery and charger are included as standard with every purchase.
The 24V 50Ah LiFePO4 battery offers up to 30 km per charge — approximately 2 full rounds of 18-hole golf on a standard course. Actual range depends on rider weight, terrain gradient, speed setting, and weather conditions. We recommend charging after each use to always start your round with a full battery.
Using the standard charger provided, a full charge takes approximately 6–8 hours. The charger indicator light will turn green when charging is complete. Overnight charging after each use is a convenient and recommended habit.
Yes, replacement batteries are available separately, priced at $800. Please contact us at bokyod@gmail.com or 0452 608 177 for more details.
Store the battery in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Avoid temperatures below 0°C or above 45°C. If the scooter will not be used for more than 2 weeks, top up the charge every 4 weeks to maintain battery health. Never leave the battery fully discharged for extended periods.
Our LiFePO4 batteries are among the safest lithium chemistry available — far more thermally stable than standard lithium-ion and not prone to thermal runaway. All scooters include a built-in battery management system (BMS) that protects against overcharging, over-discharging, and overheating. Always use the supplied charger and follow the charging instructions in the manual.
Our LiFePO4 batteries are rated for approximately 1,500–2,000 full charge cycles. If you play and charge the scooter twice a week, the battery should still be performing strongly after 10+ years of regular use — a highly cost-effective long-term investment.
For best results:
Charge within 48 hours of use — avoid leaving it fully discharged.
Disconnect from the charger within 48 hours of it reaching full charge (indicator turns green).
If storing for more than 2 weeks, top up the charge every 4 weeks.
Avoid charging in temperatures below 0°C or above 45°C.
Our scooters are designed specifically for golf course use. However, each club sets its own equipment policies. We recommend contacting your club's pro shop or course manager before first use. Many Australian clubs already permit or welcome single-rider electric scooters, particularly for members with mobility needs. We can provide product documentation to support your club approval request.
DailyMoving scooters feature wide, low-pressure tyres that minimise ground pressure and turf impact — comparable to or less than a traditional walking golf trolley. The scooters should not be driven onto greens or in restricted areas as marked by course signage, consistent with standard golf course etiquette.
Yes. Both models feature electromagnetic braking and can handle inclines. The DM416 (1000W) is suitable for moderate slopes, while the DM418 (1200W) provides more torque for steeper gradients. Refer to each product's specifications or contact us for details specific to your course terrain.
Yes! All models include a built-in golf bag holder and support bracket designed to securely carry a standard golf bag during play.
We recommend fully charging before each round. The scooter provides up to 30 km per charge — more than enough for 2 full rounds of 18-hole golf (typically 5–8 km per round). If you do run out of battery, the scooter can be switched to free-wheel mode to push manually or towed by cart. Keep an eye on the battery indicator display throughout your round.
To maintain your club's goodwill toward scooter use:
Always stay on designated buggy paths where marked.
Never drive onto the greens, tee boxes, or restricted areas.
Keep a safe distance from other players during their swing.
On soft or wet ground, take extra care to minimise turf disruption.
Be mindful of pace of play — the scooter should help you keep up with your group.
Follow all signage and instructions from course staff or marshals.
Yes, we offer Australia-wide delivery via courier freight. Delivery is available to most metro and regional areas. Buyers in very remote locations (e.g. farms, islands, mining camps, small towns, or rural outback) may need to collect from the nearest freight depot.
Orders are generally dispatched within 1–2 business days after payment is cleared. Once dispatched, please allow approximately 7–10 business days for delivery. A tracking number will be provided so you can monitor your delivery online.
Please provide the correct delivery address and a valid mobile phone number at checkout. Our courier partners may need to contact you prior to delivery — particularly for bulky freight. We are not liable for delays or losses resulting from incorrect address details provided at the time of purchase.
The scooter is securely packed in a heavy-duty carton with foam padding to protect all components during transit. The seat is packed in a separate carton box, so the two parcels may be delivered separately.
Assembly is straightforward and requires no special tools. It can typically be completed in under 30 minutes by following the step-by-step instructions in the included manual. Assembly videos are also available — contact us for links.
Yes! Melbourne customers are welcome to collect from our warehouse at 6/41–43 Lexton Rd, Box Hill North VIC 3129. Please contact us in advance to arrange a pickup time.
Each model breaks down into manageable sections for transport:
DM416: disassembles into 4 parts — the heaviest single piece is approximately 32 kg. Two people are recommended for unloading.
DM418Pro: front section 26 kg | rear section 43 kg | seat 8–18 kg depending on type | battery 13 kg. The rear section at 43 kg is the heaviest piece and two people are recommended.
For everyday transport, we recommend pushing the assembled scooter into your vehicle via two ramps rather than fully disassembling it.
All DailyMoving scooters come with the following warranty from the date of original purchase: Scooter (frame, motor, and components) — 12 months | LiFePO4 Lithium Battery — 24 months. This warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal use conditions.
The warranty covers manufacturing defects in the motor, frame, electrical components, and parts under normal use conditions. During the warranty period, we will send replacement parts to you — all parts can be replaced easily, so we cannot cover labour costs. The warranty does not cover: rust or corrosion, lightning or fire, theft or acts of nature, misuse or abuse, unauthorised modifications or repairs, power failure, improper installation, or damage caused during delivery due to buyer-provided address errors.
To initiate a warranty claim:
Email bokyod@gmail.com with your order number, the item you wish to return or have repaired, and a description of the issue. Include photos or video of the fault wherever possible.
Our team will review your claim and, if applicable, issue a Return Authorisation (RA) number. This number must be included on the return address label — we will not accept returns without a valid RA number.
Package the item securely to prevent transit damage.
Once return details are issued, ship the item back within 3 days.
The buyer is responsible for all transportation and insurance costs to return the product to our facility for warranty assessment.
Our team is based in Melbourne and can assist with servicing and repairs at our facility. We can also dispatch replacement parts Australia-wide with step-by-step installation guidance. Most parts can be replaced easily yourself or by someone locally — please note we cannot cover any labour costs.

If your scooter arrives with visible transit damage:
Take clear photos of the packaging and the damage before opening fully.
Contact us within 48 hours of delivery with your order number and photos.
Do not dispose of the original packaging — it may be required for a freight claim.
We will work with you promptly to arrange a replacement, repair, or refund.
No driver's licence is required to operate our golf scooters on private property such as golf courses. They are low-speed vehicles designed for off-road/private use only and are not road-legal. Always follow the rules and guidelines of your golf course.
The DM416 has a maximum forward speed of 12 km/h. The DM418 and DM418Pro have a maximum forward speed of 15 km/h. All models have a reverse speed of 5 km/h. Two selectable speed modes are available: a lower mode (approximately 6 km/h) for tight spaces and slopes, and a higher mode for open fairway travel.
Yes. The scooter features two speed modes selectable via the key or control panel. The lower setting limits speed to approximately 6 km/h — ideal for tight areas, navigating around other players, or use on steep slopes. The higher setting allows up to 12 km/h (DM416) or 15 km/h (DM418/DM418Pro) for open fairway travel. We recommend starting in the lower setting until you are comfortable with the scooter's handling.
Both models feature electromagnetic braking for smooth and responsive stopping. When you release the throttle, the motor applies regenerative braking to gradually slow the scooter. Always be aware of terrain when braking on slopes.
Our scooters have a degree of weather resistance suitable for light rain and morning dew typical of golf conditions. They should not be submerged or operated in heavy rain or standing water. After use in wet conditions, wipe down the scooter and allow it to dry before charging. Avoid storing a wet scooter in an enclosed space immediately after use.
Our scooters are designed for adult use and should not be operated by children. There is no minimum age specified in Australian law for private property use, but we recommend only adults or supervised older teenagers operate the scooters. Parental supervision is advised at all times on the golf course.
Wipe down the scooter with a damp cloth after each use to remove grass, dirt, and moisture. Avoid using high-pressure water jets or hosing down the scooter directly, as this can damage electrical components. Use a mild cleaning solution for stubborn stains. Keep the seat, handles, and footboard clean and dry.
Check tyre pressure every 4–8 weeks or before extended use. Correct tyre pressure (25 PSI) ensures safe handling, optimal performance, and reduces turf damage on the course.
We recommend a basic service check every 6–12 months or every 200 hours of use — whichever comes first. This includes checking brake function, tyre condition, battery health, all electrical connections, and tightening any fasteners. Contact us to arrange a service or refer to the maintenance section of your user manual for DIY checks.
For storage over 2 weeks: clean the scooter thoroughly, charge the lithium battery fully, store in a dry, cool location away from direct sunlight, and cover the scooter to protect it from dust. Check and top up the charge level every 4 weeks during extended storage to maintain battery health.
There are two most likely causes:
It may be in free-wheel mode and not properly engaged — pull the lever and turn it on again.
The control system may have cut off power to protect the motor from overloading or overheating (this can happen on hot days or after climbing a long steep hill). Turn it off, take a break for a couple of minutes, then turn it on again.
The beeping pattern is a diagnostic code — please check your user manual to identify the specific issue.

The Towbar Platform Carrier ($699) is a hitch-mounted platform that attaches to your vehicle's towbar, allowing you to carry the assembled scooter without loading it into the boot. It comes with an integrated folding ramp for easy loading and unloading. This is one of our most popular accessories for golfers who want the convenience of driving to the course without fully disassembling the scooter. It requires a standard towbar receiver — please check your vehicle's tow rating before purchasing.
The Compact Folding Ramps ($399/pair) are lightweight aluminium ramps designed to make loading the scooter into a vehicle or onto a trailer easier. They fold flat and stow neatly under the scooter's frame when not in use.
Yes! The Luxury Canopy ($299) provides shade from the Australian sun and basic rain protection during your round. It mounts easily to the scooter frame and does not affect stability or performance. Please note that with the Luxury Canopy fitted, the scooter cannot be pushed into a car for transport — it is best suited for customers who drive directly to the golf course or transport by towbar carrier or trailer.
Yes. All models support onboard charging — simply plug the charger into the charging port on the scooter without removing the battery. The battery can also be removed and brought indoors for charging if preferred. The standard charger is included with every purchase.
In most cases, yes! All models can have the seat removed and the control handle folded down, then be pushed into your car via two ramps. The main body dimensions are approximately 145cm × 85cm × 50cm, fitting in almost any car with rear seats folded. Smaller city hatchbacks may struggle — contact us with your vehicle model and we can advise.
Absolutely. A flat-bed trailer or ute tray is one of the easiest transport options. Simply roll the assembled scooter onto the tray, secure it with tie-down straps through the frame, and you're ready to go. Please note that a ute tray may require longer ramps.
We offer four transport solutions to suit different vehicles and preferences:
Compact Ramps — $399/pair: Lightweight aluminium ramps for loading into a vehicle or onto a trailer. Fold flat and stow underneath the scooter.
Towbar Platform Carrier — $699: Hitch-mounted platform with integrated folding ramp. Carry the scooter on the back of your vehicle without loading it into the boot — the most convenient option for regular golf trips.
Towbar Hook Carrier — $499 (T-bar handle DM416 only): A lighter, hook-on towbar system compatible with the T-bar handle variant of the DM416.
Disassembly: All models can be broken down for boot loading — the rear half section is still approximately 35 kg, so this is best suited to occasional holiday travel rather than everyday transport.
Yes. Our scooters are designed with weather resistance suitable for typical golf course conditions, including morning dew, light rain, and damp fairways. The wide, low-pressure tyres are turf-friendly even on soft ground. However, avoid submerging any part of the scooter in water and do not operate in flooding or standing water. After use in wet conditions, wipe down the scooter and allow it to dry before storing or charging.
Our scooters use wide balloon-style tyres that distribute the rider's weight over a larger surface area, significantly reducing ground pressure compared to traditional 4-wheel golf carts. This design is greenkeeper-friendly and minimises turf damage even on softer ground. Many clubs that restrict heavy carts in winter still permit our style of lightweight single-rider scooter. We recommend confirming with your club before use, and always respecting course signage and staff guidance.
Yes. Melbourne winters are mild by global standards, and our scooters handle cool, wet conditions well. Very cold temperatures (below 5°C) can temporarily reduce battery range by 10–15%, which is well within the battery's capacity for a full round. Avoid charging the battery in temperatures below 0°C. You can confidently play year-round with a DailyMoving scooter.
After any extended storage period (e.g. over summer or winter):
Give the battery a full charge before heading out.
Check tyre pressure and inflate if needed.
Inspect all fastenings and connections for tightness.
Wipe down the scooter and check for any signs of corrosion or damage.
Test brakes and throttle response in a safe, flat area before heading onto the course.
Contact us if anything seems off — we are happy to help with a quick phone diagnosis.
Yes. The DM416, DM418, and DM418Pro are designed and classified as motorised mobility devices (mobility scooters) under Australian law. Under the Australian Road Rules, a person using a qualifying mobility scooter is treated as a pedestrian — not a motor vehicle driver — when the device's maximum speed does not exceed 10 km/h on level ground. Our scooters feature adjustable speed settings consistent with this classification. For primary use on golf courses and private property, general road rules do not apply. For any public footpath or road use, we recommend verifying the rules with your state or territory's transport authority.
No. Mobility scooters are not classified as motor vehicles under Australian law, and no driver's licence is required in any Australian state or territory. They are treated as pedestrian mobility aids — whether used on a golf course, private property, or public footpaths (subject to state rules).
In most Australian states, mobility scooters do not require registration: VIC, NSW, SA, WA, ACT, and TAS — no registration required. Exception — Queensland (QLD): mobility scooters must be registered with the Department of Transport and Main Roads. Registration is free and no CTP insurance fee applies. For golf course and private property use, registration is not required in any state.
As a classified pedestrian mobility aid, you may generally ride on footpaths, shared paths, nature strips, and pedestrian areas. You must use a footpath if one is available — you cannot choose to ride on the road instead. If no footpath is available (e.g. rural roads), you must ride on the far left side of the road facing oncoming traffic. Speed on footpaths must not exceed 10 km/h. Rules vary slightly by state — always check with your local transport authority. For primary golf course use, these public road rules do not apply as golf courses are private property.
Only in limited circumstances — when there is no footpath, shared path, or nature strip available, or it is impractical to use the available footpath. When on the road, stay as close to the left edge as possible and travel facing oncoming traffic. Do not use the scooter on roads with high speed limits. In South Australia, riding on any road with a speed limit above 50 km/h is prohibited. Our scooters are not road-registered and should not be used as regular road vehicles.
When operating in public, you are treated as a pedestrian and must:
Obey all pedestrian traffic signals at crossings.
Cross roads at designated crossings.
Give way to other pedestrians on footpaths.
Not block footpaths or pedestrian access.
Not operate under the influence of alcohol or drugs (illegal in all Australian states).
Travel at walking pace in busy pedestrian areas, and no more than 10 km/h on footpaths generally.
Failure to observe these rules may result in fines.
Yes. It is illegal to operate a mobility scooter while under the influence of alcohol or drugs in all Australian states and territories. In New South Wales, a BAC of 0.05 or higher is an offence. The general rule across Australia is clear: do not operate your scooter if you have consumed alcohol or any substance that may impair your judgement or reaction time. This applies on public paths and, under most golf clubs' own rules, on the course as well.
In Victoria, motorised mobility devices are governed by the Road Safety Act 1986 and Road Safety Road Rules 2017, administered by Transport Victoria (VicRoads). Key rules: no licence or registration required | users are treated as pedestrians | footpaths must be used where available, at no more than 10 km/h | no road use when a footpath is available. For the full official Victorian guide, visit transport.vic.gov.au or search 'VicRoads motorised mobility devices'.
Yes, Queensland is the only state that requires mobility scooter registration. Key Queensland rules: registration is required with the Department of Transport and Main Roads — there is no registration fee and no CTP insurance charge | maximum device speed: 10 km/h | maximum tare weight: 110 kg | riders are treated as pedestrians | riders can use footpaths, shared paths, and bicycle paths, but not roads (unless no footpath is available). Both the DM416 and DM418 are within the 110 kg tare weight limit. Please contact the QLD Department of Transport and Main Roads to register before using the scooter on public paths.
Mobility scooter insurance is not compulsory in Australia. However, we strongly recommend obtaining dedicated mobility scooter insurance. Unlike a registered motor vehicle, mobility scooters are not covered by CTP insurance, which means if someone is injured in an incident involving your scooter, any compensation claim would be brought against you personally. Recommended cover: public liability insurance | accidental damage cover | theft cover. Specialist providers include Blue Badge Insurance (bluebadgeinsurance.com.au). Some home and contents policies may cover the scooter at home but typically not when used outside your property.
Our scooters are designed and built to meet relevant product safety and performance standards. They include key safety features such as electromagnetic braking, battery management systems (BMS), and a maximum speed appropriate for safe mobility use. If you require specific documentation for compliance, NDIS approval, or golf club access approval, please contact us at bokyod@gmail.com and we will provide the relevant product specifications and certifications.
Yes — our scooters are well-suited to users who have difficulty walking long distances due to joint pain, injury, age, or disability. All models feature a 360° swivel seat for easy on/off access, simple controls requiring no significant physical exertion, and a stable 4-wheel platform. Many of our customers are in their 50s, 60s, and 70s and find that a DailyMoving scooter has significantly extended their independence and enjoyment of the outdoors.
Depending on your individual NDIS plan and the nature of your disability, a golf scooter may be claimable as an assistive technology or community participation support. We recommend speaking with your NDIS planner or support coordinator to determine eligibility. We can provide detailed product documentation and invoicing to support any NDIS purchase request. Please contact us at bokyod@gmail.com for more information.
